We invest in companies and help them to be successful through funding the company and supporting the management. We are committed to the companies we invest in and believe in a tailored approach for each company. There is no such thing as “one way to success”.
About
Braver Investments B.V. is an independent investment company founded by Gerard Brand and René Verbruggen. After international business careers at multinational companies we entered into our first investment in 2008 and gradually built up the Braver Investments activities.
We believe in tailored approaches and in connecting with management for each company we invest in. We explicitly do not believe in red tape. Clear guidelines and agreements define the way we do our business. Together with management we define strategy and set goals, after which management executes the strategy in an independent and entrepreneurial way.
As the controlling shareholders of Braver Investments we invest without a fixed time horizon; we are committed to the company during the period in which the company benefits from our presence. We act when action is needed.
Profile
We focus on established, small and medium sized companies with a need for equity-investments from half a million euro’s to five million euro’s and with a need for support at board level. We typically have a controlling and substantial shareholding. However, we do not have to be the majority shareholder, we also consider co-investemenst when larger equity-investments are required. We aim at working together with management and co-investors with aligned interests.
Our focus is on investing in companies that need equity for buy-outs or buy-ins, domestic and international growth or turn-arounds and transformational processes.
Although we invest in a wide range of industries we have a preference for service companies, manufacturing industry and mechanical engineering/machine building companies.
Investments
Over the years we have invested in companies with different needs and backgrounds. Investments were connected to demand for growth-capital, succession-issues, financial distress, etc. Braver Investments has experience in investing under all these circumstances.
We ensure that all necessary knowhow and skills to achieve success are made available at the disposal of management and we support management in bringing changes about when needed.
